unlimiclip-cli
The command-line companion of the UnlimiClip app: find the best clips in long videos and export them through your saved templates from a terminal, a script or an AI assistant. It uses the same engine, settings, templates and models as the app.

matches the version you have installed.
Where it is
- Windows: installed next to the app and added to your
PATH. Open a new terminal and rununlimiclip-cli --version. - macOS: inside the app bundle, not on your
PATH:/Applications/UnlimiClip.app/Contents/MacOS/unlimiclip-cli --version
Find and export clips

unlimiclip-cli clip --plan C:\clips\plan.json --template "Captions — Bold Uppercase" --jsonautoclip analyze writes a plan file (clips with start, end, title and score); clip --plan exports it, through a template when you name one. Edit the plan's
start and end times in between to adjust a clip.
Command groups
autoclip- Install the AI pack, find clips in a long video (analyze).
clip- Cut and export sections or a plan file, optionally through a template.
templates- List, show, create, import and export saved templates.
models- Download and manage the speech models.
assets / music / styles / fonts- The asset library and text styles.
settings- Read and change every app setting.
account- Sign in, refresh, sign out, buy.
explorer- Read the right-click menu state and template slots.
update- Check for and install app updates.
info / docs / open- Installation facts, the full reference, file manager.
With an AI assistant
In the app, CLI → Export SKILL.md writes an Agent Skill for Claude, Codex and
other assistants (or run unlimiclip-cli docs --export-skill <folder>). Ask in
plain language — "find the best short clips in this video and export them with captions" — and
the assistant runs the commands above. Always use --json or --progress-json in scripts.
Licence
autoclip analyze and clip need an active UnlimiClip account (trial or
purchase) signed in within the last 7 days; everything else works without one. If a command
exits with code 6, open UnlimiClip and sign in, then run it again.
Exit codes

4 | Prerequisite missing (FFmpeg, a speech model, the AutoClip AI pack, a download that failed verification) |
5 | A desktop sign-in is required — open UnlimiClip and sign in |
6 | An active UnlimiClip license is required — open UnlimiClip and sign in, then run the command again |
